GARRY MADALINE

FIXED PRINCIPAL INVESTMENTS

After majoring in business administration at West Chester State University, Garry Madaline was a highly-decorated law enforcement officer in Philadelphia. Wounded in the line of duty, he retired from law enforcement and began a very successful retirement planning career with The Equitable Life Company in 1979.

During his 40-plus year career, Garry mentored under many of the great industry retirement minds, including Ed Slott, Dave Vick and David McKnight, to name a few. Realizing that retirement plans offered by most firms would be inadequate for the long retirements faced by the Baby Boomer generation, in 2004 he authored the highly-acclaimed book, Making the Most of Your Retirement. He is also the creator of the C.O.R.E (Comprehensive Objective Retirement Engineering) process, which continues to be used by the firm to this day.

A sought-after speaker, educator and innovator in the ever-changing retirement landscape, Garry founded United Retirement Advisors Group, the original firm and predecessor of URA Group AZ, serving as the firm president until 2017. He now dedicates his time to teaching retirement workshops, educating retirees and pre-retirees about the most important years of their lives, especially the handling of fixed principal investments.
